How to Recover Deleted WhatsApp Chats
To recover deleted WhatsApp chats we’re going to use an app called WhatsTool. It’s an app that is loaded with features like direct chat, profile search, split video, and many more, one of which is the recover deleted messages feature. This method works on a locked phone, when you’re using other apps and even when you’re having a conversation with someone else on WhatsApp. The only time it won’t work would be when your net is off, and it’s deleted before it’s delivered to you. Open the Play Store, and search for WhatsTool app. Now, download and install the app and open it from the main menu.
When you first open the app, it’ll ask for storage permissions. Hit on allow when you see such a pop-up. Now select the recover deleted messages option from the main menu.
Like I said the app will extract the messages from your notifications. Therefore it’ll only work f In this step, we’ll allow the app to read notifications. Tap on start recovering messages option as shown in the picture below. Then enable WhatsTool for WhatsApp to read app information.
In the new screen, you’ll find no new messages, since the app hasn’t detected any messages yet. A little drawback about this app is that it’ll show all the WhatsApp messages you receive (not sent), in conversational style tabs similar to WhatsApp. To expand a conversation tap on the contact name and view all the new WhatsApp message sent by that contact. When they send a text and delete it, it’ll appear in the same conversation. Just for the sake of experimentation, ask a friend to send you a text and delete it. This will give you a better idea about the UI.
Below, is an illustration on how the message will reflect in your original WhatsApp chat and in the Whats Tool app. You cannot reply using the WhatsTool app and there are banner ads that I didn’t find intrusive. The app features tons of other handy features, which you’ll love if you want to up your WhatsApp game which I’ve mentioned above. You can unlock premium features by watching sponsored ads which also removes banner ads at $6.
